  • Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
  • Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
  • Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, OmniGraffle, or other visual design and wireframing tools
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping

    We are looking for stellar front-end developers to join our Front-End team and work closely with our back end development team, UX/UI designers, and executive level stakeholders to ensure the business vision is executed in a product that delights the end user.

    We are looking for experienced Back-End Engineers to work closely with our Director of Engineering, front-end developers, UX/UI designers, and executive level stakeholders to ensure the business vision is executed in a product that delights the end user. This teammate will be responsible for understanding the core business objectives and performance constraints and designing/implementing optimal technologies for our database and application service levels.

Competitive candidates will have:

  • Expertise in Python and Django
  • Knowledge of RESTful API development and best practices
  • Experience with database architecture and design
  • Experience with Unix / Linux environments
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, Master’s Degree a plus


Luke is a serial entrepreneur and investor. He started his career in management consulting and later founded several engineering, consumer goods, and technology companies. Luke is a member of Tech Coast Angels and Pasadena Angels, and has invested in 20 some early stage companies across different sectors. He holds a Ph.D. from California Institute of Technology.

Sean has 18+ years of experience designing and developing high performance web applications for start-ups. Prior to joining LH Ventures, he worked as Principal Architect at InviteManager, VP of Technology at Vow to be Chic, and founding engineer at ReachLocal. Sean holds three Master of Sciences degrees, and one PhD from Peking University and UCLA.

Doug focuses on evaluating new investment opportunities and working with LH’s in-house ventures to drive growth. Prior to LH Ventures, Doug was cofounder and Chief Sales Officer at a regional consumer products company in Pennsylvania. Doug graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in Economics and Statistics.

Paul is a UX designer with background in instructional design and elearning. As a consultant in healthcare, insurance, and consumer goods industries, Paul has created learnable, goal-oriented experiences for tens of thousands of professionals. Paul holds a Master's of Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University.

Abe is lead back-end developer with a background in full-stack development. Prior to joining LH Ventures, he was a co-founder of AgriData, Inc., a venture-backed AI/computer vision startup focused on agricultural applications. Abe is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles.

Cezary is a front end developer with a background working in start-ups building web applications. He graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana with a degree in Computer Engineering.

Steve is a front-end engineer with a background in full-stack development. Prior to joining LH Ventures, he worked at Live Nation, AOL/Time Warner, and various startups. Steve is a graduate of the University of Michigan.

William is full stack developer with experience working in both large corporate environments as well as smaller companies. William graduated from Duke University with a double major in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering and is an avid Duke Basketball fan.

Dave Berkus has a well-established track record in operations, venture investing and corporate board service, both public and private. As an entrepreneur, he has formed, managed and sold successful businesses in the entertainment and software arenas. As a private equity investor, he has obtained healthy returns from liquidity events in over a dozen investments in early-stage ventures. He acts as CEO coach and advisory board member to a number of technology companies, both public and private.

As the Chairman of Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator, Richard brings a wealth of investment and entrepreneurial experience. He was the former Managing Partner of a Beverly Hills based intellectual property and business litigation and counseling law firm. Richard is the former President of the Tech Coast Angels LA Network. He serves as a member of the Advisory Board of USC’s Center for Technology Commercialization, a guest lecturer for the Caltech Entrepreneurial Fellowship Program and a Distinguished Speaker at USC’s Lloyd Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studies.
